Matt Stokes, a proud native of Brady, Texas, has remained deeply rooted in the Texan culture throughout his life. His journey into the financial realm began with the acquisition of an Accounting Degree from Sam Houston State University in 2001, laying a solid foundation for his professional endeavors.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys travel and the thrill of golf, balancing his career pursuits with a passion for exploration and sport.

His remarkable achievements extend beyond the world of finance. In 1999, Matt soared to the prestigious rank of third globally in Steer Wrestling within the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), showcasing his exceptional talent and dedication to the sport.

Matt’s career trajectory showcases a dynamic evolution marked by diverse roles and impactful contributions. From 2001 to 2002, he served as an accountant for a prominent homebuilder, leveraging his financial expertise to support the company’s operations. Subsequently, from 2002 to 2007, Matt assumed the role of Controller at a Mortgage broker firm, where he played a pivotal role in financial management and strategic decision-making.

His professional journey reached new heights as he assumed the role of Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) at Amcap Mortgage from 2007 until June 2024. During his tenure, Matt showcased exemplary leadership and strategic vision, contributing significantly to the company’s growth and success.

In June 2024, Matt embarked on a new chapter in his career as he transitioned to the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at HMA Mortgage, where his financial acumen and leadership continue to drive excellence and innovation within the organization.
